Spend the day by the ponds enjoying paddle sports, pond dipping, fishing, or even wild swimming. Light a campfire and cook your lunch while relaxing by the water’s edge.
If you fancy exploring, hire one of our bikes and take a gentle 4-mile ride into Ellesmere, or venture a little further—Shrewsbury is reachable by bike in around an hour.
For the adventurous, don’t miss Crab Apple, our very own cold-water experience area. Book in for a refreshing cold-water dip, a plunge, and time in the sauna for a truly invigorating session.
If you’d like to learn how to care for animals—or even collect your own fresh eggs—be sure to book our Husbandry Experience. It’s a hands-on, fun, and rewarding way to get up close with our animals and learn new skills.

Cold Water Experience
Just bring a costume and towel, there is a changing area available. Crab apple is a secluded area where you will find a 24 foot swimming pool, hot tub for 6 people, a sauna, ice water plunge bath & ice shower... will you brave the cold.

FISHING
​
Fishing is pre-bookable at certain times of the day due to the pools also being used for paddle sports, please pre - book as slots can fill up quickly. No need to bring your tackle we ca provide what you need :)
BIKE HIRE
Bike hire is available on site, these are very popular so please book in advance. Cycle routes are available on request.
Animal Husbandry
Ever wanted to stroke a sheep, cuddle a lamb, collect your own eggs or hold a new-born chick or duckling well now is your chance, depending on the time of year will depend on what experiences we have available to book - ask when booking your accommodation.
Paddle Sports
Have fun on the water learn new skills.
Kayaks, mini rafts and paddleboards are available to hire. Children under 16 MUST be supervised at all times by an appropriate adult. Any person entering the water must wear a suitable buoyancy aid which are provided.

POND DIPPING

Everything you need is available such as nets buckets and a clear viewing tanks so that you and your little ones can explore the abundance of life in the ponds.
